no .. it's not the stress that I do not just write. And no, it 's not because that is just testing time (since I would have quite a lot to push me to write before learning). It is, quite simply because I usually have no pictures. And why is that? Andrew - our top class photographer she has not moved out.

23.11 - 27.11.2009 - Full Schedule

Monday was Ausspanntag, Tuesday chased a meeting the next evening and Wednesday we Hot Pot (Fondue approx) went to eat, which was very funny. Thursday and Friday were again fully booked with meetings and additional courses and lectures and all the "important" things.
But the bright spot was even closer: Weekend :-)
28.11.2009 - A long but great day
on Saturday would have been a Christmas market in the German Embassy was. And actually I am sooo happy there already on it. But on Thursday a few classmates have asked whether I want to Qinghuangdao - and I could not say no * happy *
Qinghuangdao about 3 hours by train from Beijing is located by the sea. It is a small town in the summer to the seaside resort at all. Since you will then not only half-Beijing, but also all the high politicians (because here since Mao's Times have their villas). But here we are back in November, it was all deserted :-)
at 6.30 clock in any case we have taken in Wudakou to 5 and with the U-Bahn to the station. From there we went wrong with the train - and gabs on the road course, a true Chinese breakfast with sulfur eggs, corn, sausages and instant noodles * laugh *
In Qinghuangdao we went by bus to the beach (in itself quite an experience). There Were there times only then a nice long (and cold) walk. I'll tell you, that was super super nice even though it was super super cold.

At about 2 we then ate at a time ... we want to call restaurant ... and then we went to a nearby park, from which you a great view had about the city and the sea. At least in theory because it was too foggy that day.

evening went on-5 then back towards the station (this time the bus was still eventful). There we ate in a ... let's call it a restaurant ... and again. And by 8 it was back to Beijing - in super nice and fast and comfortable train! He was even better than our ICEs I tell you!
Well, since we were already pretty tired. The others have gone home then, but I still had to NEN birthday.
So purely in the subway and went to Obiwan - namely was German party. And what there were? Correct; free beer and carnival music * laughing *
And about 1 hour is later turned up my friends too. They had at the Christmas market and then in the ger restaurant quite a bit and were added to accordingly on it ... funny * haha *.
Anyway, I've indulged me 2 mulled wine, Patrick got up 12 clock good happy birthday, I got caught and then the drunken Darren went home to bed :-)
29.11.2009 - 1st Advent
And that was a good thing. If I went home on Sunday not so punctual that would group meeting the next morning (9 clock!) Probably thoroughly gone into his pants ...
so had only a hangover Darren and all others (in this case I mean always "all but Leyi that never comes") were more or less awake.
And that was about it for Sunday 1 Advent. Not even a candle gabs ... the candles are forbidden in the dormitory ...
30.11. - 4.12.2009 - December
How quickly time passes ... Also it was still summer and is already December and Christmas is not too far ... But does it

Monday morning I met with a professor (he is to me to write my recommendation and because you can never too early to build a relationship ;-)).
Tuesday was, as always, Study Group Meeting.
then Wednesday was great: I was only up to the break in the Chinese language (as I was leaving the real motivation for it). Then it was "Girl's Night" is announced - 10 girls are high, we went to the Japanese and we have since finally go really well leave - without the boys!
Thursday was again nothing special (except SAP Meeting).
And Friday we had the last hour here at the Chinese University. I must say ... that was really surprising. Especially since it has meant that our test was in 1 week and I still had not learned it ... ohoh ...
Saturday was Chinese and therefore * phew * Accounting Learning announced
12/05/2009 - Eating Dimsam
On 2 Advent has something great Darren had planned to eat Dimsam!
As soon as he said the word "Dimsam", all ACs (American Chinese) have a beam in his eyes. And us "normal" foreigners, it was a "no idea but I come by". So we met at 11am and are one of the 5-star hotels here gefahrne (manohman!). There, we had a private dining room (to 10 tons) and already had Darren and Carmen to shop here Dimsam.
meantime had also informed me that something like Dimsam HongKong-tion tapas. Aha! I've got me on it accordingly. By the time they arrived and I had tried them. And I must say ... it's just not my thing. First time I was discouraged, but that really so strange things, like Hüherfüße have ordered. Second, the taste was not mine ...
But (eating so after about 2 hours) then there was this delicious ice cream still * freu *
6 - 11/12/2009 - Waiting for the Weekend
Hm ... let's see ... What were the events of the week? Hm ...
Well for one I have canceled my private Chinese lessons starting Monday, as I had with the first Book by bin and understand only train station and as the next weeks, all plans are approved total.
On Tuesday I had then - who would have thought it? - Group Meeting, SAP Meeting and Class Representative Meeting (from 2 to beautiful clock by 8).
then Wednesday I am totally looking forward to the Retail Strategy Forum! Tsinghua has time and again that is really big and great forums and lectures. And I for the Retail Forum've got hold another card * g *. Stupidity was only then that all talks were in Chinese - and because of NIX translation as they have promised to bring me the card * grumble *
Accounting On Thursday was our last hour. This was on the one hand great because so exciting is not the issue. However, that meant that our exam was in the week after that ... only good thing I had already started learning! Thursday afternoon I had another private meeting CDC. The CDC is the Career Center at the University - the one giving advice on career and education. And that was really nice (if it has not helped sooo much more).
Yes ... and Friday was Chinese exams announced. I'll tell you, I'm actually 10 but a chapter in 30 words within 1 week learned (and forgotten now again). If you remember - Midterm exam was really difficult times. And therefore, I had a bit afraid before the Final Exam. But ... it was kind of easy! I know that I was not super super good, but sooo much I would not really have to learn it. Tiina (a classmate from Finland) was the same opinion and we have only then give yourself a nice cup of Starbucks coffee Christmas - my first Starbucks coffee here!
Well ... and then pack was announced * happy *
12th - 16. 12.2009 - "What is the wet stuff that comes from heaven again?"
And here's one of the highlights of the semester: The Roots of China Shanghai Trip!
China Roots is an additional subject, show that foreigners can learn more about China. And who does good to all his courses, must be present at closing to Shanghai. Or something like that ;-)
at 7 AM in the morning it went off anyway with the Unibus the airport. From there we went (with about 2 hours late - which here is probably common) started. Once in Shanghai we have our bus and our tour guide (yes, OUR!) brought first to the hotel. From the outside it looked so not sooo great but the inside ... really great!
went from the hotel and then go right for sightseeing. The plan was Shanghai National Museum + French Quarter. As the line in front of the museum was so long, however (and we were 2 hours late), we are only to Renmin Park, the Nanjing Road (shopping THE Maile such) and then to the French Quarter. Oh yes, and then dinner gabs too. Well and in the evening ... we have all learned accounting.

Then we went again on a trip to the des Bijouteries (which are said to look like European * haha *), then to the federal government (the financial center in China) and then by bus half way across the city. There is so funny wet stuff came down from heaven, we were not sooo sad that we did not have long to run around out ;-)
evening are we this time (despite the rain) walked out. From Our hotel was only a jump from there to its banks. There we have it in the 9th Stock a bar drinking wine, the view of the illuminated financial center and enjoyed just relaxing.

Figures were also shown, but the people below have all been asleep. As was explained to us (in Chinese), those were just the backup, because the real dealers now do everything a PC from home ... Conclusion: boring. Then we had to drink some more time in the French Quarter for a coffee, then we went to dinner (I have not mentioned that we were fattened in the time really, right?) And then back to the hotel . Darren and I have let go, but sell at a Starbucks - Accounting for learning ... Afternoon we went to Fudan University out. There, we ate pizza with the IMBA course together and talk - that was really nice and funny. And it has also shown that foreigners have the same problems everywhere in China - but Tsinghua University is clearly the better!
Well and in the evening ... then there was my personal highlight! We have 5 people high on the way home can be contrasted with the bus driver and drove to the Financial Center. The building is one of the highest in the world (99 floor) and completely overlooking Shanghai! There we are then in the 91st Stock down, where we have at the window with great views of the Bund, the river and Shanghai drank a cocktail. That was my ABSOLUTE Hightlight!
Wednesday was our last day and there was again a little highlight (not great as the Financial Center, but the guys would say as well what else?): We are the Formula 1 Ring went out! There, we had a tour through the ranks (note the wind!), The journalists Center, the luxury villas and Go Card Park (where the men have, of course, the same time down at -5 ° C one race) . And at night we went (with almost 2 hours late) back to Beiijing.
Conclusion: Shanghai is warmer but much wetter and more expensive than Beijing. It mixes modern with old, which is sometimes very confusing. In addition, it has just as many inhabitants as Beijing, but only 1 / 3 of the area ... and to Shanghai - a Beijing is still like a backward rural village. Shanghai is a strange city ...

17th - 20.12.2009 - Accounting = shock
And at home in Beijing we had the same Uniwelt again. On Wednesday we have all the documents of the subjects missed getting * bad * and then it was again on the power-Learning for the accounting exam Friday. But ... all learning and all the prayers have not helped. I myself have felt somewhat prepared (80:20 rule). I've had this paper in his hand and could have cried ... because I do not 50% of the questions not answered.
very quiet so I had a beginning and all the "I know" Questions answered. Then, with more points and then the "hm ... I'm not so sure" questions. And last comes the "no idea" questions were left - which unfortunately gave the most points.
After 2 hours I then did something that I've NEVER done in my life before ... I've made first. I had answered all the questions where possible and checked 2 times ... really depressing! The only consolation was that many came out with a riiiiesigen question mark over his head ...
And in the evening there was a Christmas party: serve with free food, games, Christmas music and a real Santa Claus (Niklas and me, of course, had caught up with pure, so that together we " Oh Christmas tree singing "had). Oh yes, and there were also gifts Imp. Fittingly, I will also get a book like: "Why Men Marry Bitches." What they say something like this ... I have always wanted to * rofl *

Saturday am I woke up and the first thought (for the first time in my life) was "Oh God! The exam did you really Ver ***!". So I called Patrick (who has also complained, but at a much higher level) and we went together to the city. This made it a bit of sightseeing (we have risen to NEN hill behind the Forbidden City) and a bit of shopping (If you can call a book above).
And Sunday was again fashionable dance rehearsal. Typical Chinese everything must be perfect (one can not even fool for God's sake!). However, we have waited until at least 1 hour until all were there. And then we practiced about 1 hour and sat in the other 3 hours and have been waiting for our response. Good thing I did was to read it ... otherwise it would have been dead ...
21st - 23.12.2009 - Where is the Christmas spirit?
Well ... now it's 3 days before Christmas. And it is neither Christmas package arrived (that's from Grandma for a while on his way to who-knows-where-out - at this point anyway many thanks Grandma), there is no place (in Dan's package were quite a lot of gingerbread in it - but is the first in a bit later), and Christmas music is also not there. Tuesday were again quite a lot of meetings scheduled.
Wednesday was a marathon meeting turn: including a great lunch with Judy and Jose and a super boring class Advicer Welcome Ceremony (the guy who studied at Harvard and was told everything only in Chinese - that can look deep! ) and a fun dance rehearsal. At 10am in the evening I was also really really ready - typically containing Christmas ;-)
24.12.2009 - Merry Christmas with pizza
was instead a Christmas Brunch * wink wink * it's a Christmas-Study Group meeting. But this time in the cold Shunde lobby. But with coffee and gingerbread for all and, therefore, the mood was great :-) I'm
then also remained in the university (after a nice lunch with Larry and Roger), because we had a 4-7am classes. Her moans now likely 'lesson at Christmas? "But I'll tell you, we're lucky - as would be the normal classes from 7-10am evening was! As it was, we could still enjoy the evening. Actually, I had had before to go to Jonathan and Dipak together in the exhibition. 25th & 26.12.2009 - * yawn *
On Christmas Day, had invited Jonathan and his wife Noel for Christmas. Real nice with Christmas tree, baking, Christmas dinner, Christmas carols and Bible reading. I had thought I would come. But ... nuja ... it was super cold outside and so much Bibelfan I am again not ... so I am fine and I curled up at home all day long just read, slept and watched movies. Lovely!
But on 26 must then be studied ... the books are not read by themselves, and unfortunately there is homework to do whatever ...
27.12.2009 - Happy New Year (on Chinese)

at 11 again dance rehearsal was scheduled. Because tonight would be the last presentation at the New Year celebration of our faculty. Yes we were all so excited (especially since each class has some listed). The only pity is that the program was changed in the last minute, so everything was in Chinese only ... * cry * spasm
Anyway, we were at 11 am and were there at 12am on the stage and of course nothing worked so again director Solo Therefore, it would ... he has knocked over my entire grad mal scheduling and decided that we of 2 - another 6 samples. I was soooo mad at him!
evening we went to 8.20Uhr it. I'm after the trial went home and returned only at 8am - which I will be there when I understand nothing eh? Our performance was really great and then there was a lot of fun (see pictures). I stayed until about 10 o'clock and I looked at me with the other presentations were rather boring ... and I have absolutely nothing to get it (too much text!). Therefore, it then went home to warm and well-deserved bed :-)
28th - 30.12.2009 - The rest of the year
Yes, yes ... but how fast time flies ... It is New Year again!

31.12.2009 / 1.1.2010 - fireworks we come!
On Thursday we had been lucky: our teaching was again brought forward from 7am to 4am. That was totally awesome! However, there was as yet no plan to make what we ...
Most of my classmates (well, I mean now the only international, because the Chinese "our" New Year celebrate not really) wanted to go to the bling. The bling is the brother of a classmate and one of the finest (and most expensive) clubs here in Beijing.
Patrick and I wanted the more traditional New Year's Eve but . Commit We took a taxi at 9am, therefore, and went into the city. There we were in a super nice Italian restaurant at dinner: antipasti, pasta, tiramisu, espresso and wine! Simply wonderful! Then we have not decided to go to Bling (as we had planned). Instead, we grabbed a taxi we went to the Tian'anmen Square to us there to watch the fireworks. Actually, a great plan, but ....
really had the need to work within 30 minutes ... there would not have been the traffic jam. So we have 24h in a taxi anywhere in Beijing * laughs * spent
0.10Uhr counter we were at Tian'anmen. With us for about 30 international young people were there and 20 police officers. And that's it ....
Imagine the times before: dirty cold, an empty Tiananmen Square, 30 more or less drunken foreigner and not a single rocket! So that was kind of sad ...
But it's become fun again, as Patrick has phoned first to Austria table with his brother, then in Italian with his mother and then in Swedish with his father * rofl * Well and
Then we have again used 45 minutes to find a taxi that we has returned to the university.
Conclusion: A super nice and funny and just a different New Year's Eve (which has not felt like New Year).
Oh yes, and then there was still the Study Group meeting on Friday at 3 o'clock. I was fine. The Chinese also. Darren just saw ... had better * lol *
Yes ... so far as to what I have driven the last month over ;-)
