Hello together,

first and second, it is different than you think and third, yet everything is good.

In August Dan and I were with his parents in Texas. After the cold summer in Germany, the heat did really well there. Dallas itself was very very very boring. Rodeo was super cool and interesting than baseball live on television.


On 1 September went off to college. Before that, I am still moved into my new old house (far left). After researching the university and learn the local idiosyncrasies (the horse is called Rudi and is the mascot of Yale SOM), it was already on tour to Boston (3rd from left) and New York (far right).

in November can be described almost as relaxing month - at least according to the Mid-term exams ...
first I was with the Q + Club of SOM in Vermont on a Luxushuette. All day eating (middle) and then relax in the Jacuzzi and sauna (but unfortunately only a weekend long * cry *). Beended was the month with a super super delicious Thanksgiving turkey made by Terry (and Patrick and me).


Well ... and then it was already December. Beginning December before the exams started, I was at the Winter Ball at the School of Management (as you can see the theme was "Mad Man Style"). At Tsinghua final pizza we have then discovered the first hamburger shack in the USA (@ Mama: a photo just for you) and photographed while going home to the (super cheesy) Christmas tree.

The second call (the main station) I was told that since 9 / 11 (which is known to be quite a while ago) across the United States are no lockers more ... If you ask me that is the definition of paranoia!

Hello dear ones,

yes ... I still exist. However, I was the last few weeks / months in total stress and could only register once again ...

The short version:

• mid-June: Beijing - Muenchen (THAT was a battle I tell ya!)
• end of June: team meeting 1 with Schwende (had to even be prepared even incidentally), lecture in Vorarlberg, dentist, Visa Interview , Course Registration ...
• early July: Holidays with Dan (Europa Park and Franconian Switzerland), build Schwende, medical appointments, banking appointments
• late July / early August: team meeting 2 and Schwende camp (2W without internet cost me an apartment - so again go in search * grrr *)
• mid-August is only 3 d after Schwende flight Frankfurt - Boston - Dellas
• end of August: vacation with Dan's Parents in Texas (more or less recovery)
• early September only 2d after the holiday starts the lesson - very stressful! Memo of myself: never again on such short notice
• mid-September: computer goes kaput - new is late and not funzt, Max meet in NY ... yes, and then stop even the normal insanity of teaching / Uni / Clubs / applications ...

As you can see it here went haywire and so far I'm gehaetzt only from one appointment to the next. And if I once had an appointment I was at the IT help desk because we've tried my (new) laptop up and running (by the way is now sent back for repair).

Well ... and this Wednesday I had then a mid-term exam (which I could not really learn, because as I said topsy-turvy), and a final presentation (which has become in the last minute only finished as our group leader is not the most dynamic was). Wednesday I got myself then with ner hot chocolate and cookies for the first time in front of the TV set - has earned deserved :-)

Next week we have Mid-term Break (well deserved) and then go the 2nd Half off. And somehow I'm lookin 'on it because it can only get better * haha *

So ... I sign the days again as soon as I got my laptop back (and it works again). And then there finally some pictures and a detailed report on my Life here in the U.S..

10 days Ôsaka trip

So, here I am again!

the summer holidays I had to once again use to go to Osaka and meet some friends again and to see a lot, so I was the last 10 days then again there.

The first day I sat down with Osamu (former tandem partner) hit we were eating sushi in 寿司 难 波 Namba, Namba us the viewing park, we were later eat in an exhibition of Jimmy Onishi (known jp. artists!) and オムライス (rice omelette).

On Wednesday it was then 奈良 Nara, Manabu visit. I was invited back by his parents into the soba restaurant and have 天ざる そば (cold Soba Noodles with Tempura, ie fried vegetables / shrimp etc. eaten), which was really totaaaal delicious! Then we were on the 奈良 奥山 ドライブ ウェイ "Nara Okuyama Driveway", from where you had a wonderful view of Nara. Then we went to yet 东大寺 "Toudaiji," look at the 大 仏 "Daibutsu" because we had not done the last time in Nara - which is indeed pretty much the most famous landmark all over Nara. Tuesday was then already the last day in Osaka. I've met with Yasuko, yes I still know from 5 years ago. Tuesday I was with Anna, Adam and Dexter (Americans) then ドライブ (Doraibu - car trip) in the North. Last week I had a paper and two final exams this week then the deadline for an essay. In addition, we were last week Wednesday for the last time on 见 学 (trip) in Naha in a museum. This week Tuesday "had" voluntarily then we write to study a business review. And then we eeendlich completely during the holidays! I find this so frankly a bit in common is that in Germany all have their vacation long ago and I do not, although my course as early . End Well, but I will not complain, but I'll just use the holiday here and enjoy twice as intense as I would have done it in Germany.

Last week Friday I was with Anna-Lena to social-off tour by car. Book-offs are almost second-hand book shops, there are also CDs and DVDs and everything is much cheaper than new! On July 17th I got the thrill-esque highlight of the exchange year seen so far!
We were motor Paraglyden! Monday night we were finally ready and I'm right next to the pub because of the (eiken Film Club) 映 研 on the night his (successful) participation in the Sport-Fest/Wettbewerb (of Round off several Uni-Zirkeln/Clubs) added.

Thursday was the last 発 表 会 (presentation of project work). Anna and I were very excited, whether it would arrive in the end also good because we just purely put so much effort and is extremely well then yes, eventually losing the "objective" view of how the result actually works. Also had (of course) then the two of us also hold a brief "Introduction" before the film was then shown. We have then a little bit マンザイ (Comedy) - included as standard.

On the same evening, we celebrated the end of the project work will also in the pub (when 打ち上げ ). And although our new Japanese class so far was not as funny as the last semester, this time was just funny death ... Anna and I were (probably because of all tension and stress, which were dropped at a time) even before we dated Alcohol have noticed something rather silly ... ^ ^ Especially with the French and the Taiwanese people in our group (who have been drinking quite a lot), we totally had a lot of fun. It was definitely one of the funniest evenings in the pub, which I had been here!

The next day, the film club I have the whole then shown again. And fortunately, it is also well received since. It does indeed make a difference when all the people that appear in the film does not know - and of course, may an amateur project of technical not keep up with the film club, so I was there once again a little excited. Achso well, and I had already quite a few embarrassing scenes of myself with it ...

On Saturday after we went to the 撮 影 (filming) one of the film club. As we drove even quite up to the north and it was climatically a real challenge to survive ... from 8 am to 10 throughout the evening without air conditioning! If it had been on the day not at least relatively windy, I would not believe I survived ... But the 撮 影 was quite interesting because we have since turned in as a super-small family shop. So that's really just a family house, the NEN front but very small shops have it. And the "actors" in the scene was then a student and a 沖縄 の お ばあちゃん (Okinawa Omi? Who are always so sweet and cute!)

On Sunday after we went to my first beach party! With a group of about 15 people, and Japanese exchange students, it was already going on at noon. We have we settled down in the tree shade. Much has been cooked, talked, swam a bit ... I'm also there for the first time with T-shirt above the bikini in the water - quite adapted from Okinawa, which make here that is all. For one, I think so too, because Japanese women are kind of embarrassing bikinis (too liberal, for example, Japanese women wear so. Otherwise not even tops with cut-out ...) but the main reason is simply the sun. I'm already been determined more than 2 months only on creams, lotions, creams .... and burn me still sometimes. Sun screen must be easy, because I usually burn the scalp ... (Use the BTW, almost all Japanese women). Well anyway back to the T-shirt in the water. One feels as German as defined quite strange because you would in Germany simply declared to be totally crazy, because I felt at first a bit バカ っぽい (idiotic), but if you look, are the people who go swimming without clothes only real Americans, and some children.

On Friday, the first was our final test. Was largely true in order and sometimes a bit nasty difficult.

before yesterday (Saturday) I was in with Anna again on ドライブ (car-trip) south move. The goal was the famous ニライカナイ 橋 (Niraikanai Bridge), which is totally long and curved, but it goes over the land has a wicked nice view of the sea. Eisa I may become totally happy! I just love these traditional Okinawan Sounds of music, the drums, the outfits, the whole atmosphere! And it's just great, to what extent that is valued in Okinawa - in Germany we have it not so in any case with traditional things ...
