Nouvelle Coluerdepokémon

The past half year lapse

Hi everybody,

is now really gone much too much time in the not I have reported. Right now it seems to me as if nothing happened also, but as I lie certainly wrong. So let us go back even half a year, and behold what I've done everything :-)

moment I sit sweating in front of the laptop and can not believe how cold it in January

was According to my calendar was full of all the January exams and final papers:

6.1. Economics Paper: because we had to write a case study. Our subject was the German cigarette market. Very exciting. Did you know that the government has increased very long the taxes and the demand has not decreased? That shows just how addictive these things make * *

disgraceful 8.1. Economics: I like economics really liked and had a very good feeling after the test (especially since it was open book, so we could take all the documents). The final score showed, however - probably not soooo good ('s saying is still good but not great).

15.1. DMD Paper: Since we had to write a case study consisting of real data that can be solved with at least two of the tools learned. The good Larry has crafted it into a task on football. All alone without burdening the rest of us * happy happy *

18.1. DMD: Data, Models and Decisions now sounds not so interesting. And at the beginning of the semester, we all expected the worst (especially since the book looked really Fiess!). BUT ... sometimes deceives you down! DMD was pure (* cough *) fun! I'm really as much about Excel and Scenario Models learned ... that was really great. And then the test was something quite special: the way down my cycle has passed and I had to lie down in the middle of the road (think what Patrick has been chasing a murderous terror). In the test I was the only one who is quite finished (at this point a big thank you to all the teachers we've trimmed on the clock!). And right after I got me a beautiful ö ne caught a cold (which I also stayed true to you next 3 weeks - the Good).

20.1. China's Institutional Environment Paper: For this fine-sounding subject (which gave us a famous Prof macro context explained here in China, which was less exciting than it sounds in retrospect), we should analyze a current topic of China. My group has taken the High Speed Train (which was really exciting). And there has turned the whole China and most of the information in Chinese, were my job to make the PPT was beautiful. And thanks to market research because I am a great and fast in it. Thanks to good team work, we then also get a very very good grade * g *

Okay ... so far as to official appointments in January. But before I on 24 Flown back home am (which was due to the cold and the broken TV very very very painful), I must tell you the highlight (of the semester!): Our trip to Ha'erbin (for simplicity I now always write H):

(click the pictures make bigger! )

at 8.1. we went right after the release Economics Exam. 8.30pm went to the night train up north (border with Siberia). We had booked the luxury berths: 4 people per room with tea and slippers. There Were there times only then McDonalds dinner and then all the Chinese beer + nuts + card happy *

* To 8am the next morning, we then packed up veeery thick (honestly up to 5 layers of clothing) . Equal to the hotel (Ibis for only 10 € per night in double room * * WelcomeToChina) and under the hot shower. Then we went into the city. I'll tell you, that was so beautiful: a mix of Russian and Chinese, with wide pedestrian zone, sunshine and ice statues everywhere. We are no longer the surprise came out (but were not also fail to note how damn cold it was, despite the many layers).

After the city tour, we drove about 1 hour by taxi outside the tiger park. There we have "in the wild" (ie, in tiny outdoor cages that was not really appropriate to the species) Siberian Tiger (and other animals that really belong to a warm place) seen. thoroughly frozen gabs then lunch at an overpriced restaurant. Was us but no matter, because you could take off the gloves in there at least once (but not the jacket). And now all watch out, because now comes the highlight and the reason why we have suspended these temperatures: the Ice and Snow Festival of Harbin! I would also like to do nothing more (except that it Butt Ass ass was cold and not even more, the heating pads in the shoes and gloves have helped) and let you look here just a couple of pictures. And yes, this really is all ice and snow :-)

Next day, we were frozen by something I say to you. In the evening we were eating in a sweet little Russian restaurant (after we are desperate and aimless running about 1 hour through the city to find another restaurant that was crowded then). The Russian restaurant was super expensive (that is, by Chinese standards) but they had mashed potatoes, borscht and other European delicacies. And all the wood-paneled restaurant was also super super nice. Was worth it really.
But back to Sunday: during the Noel and Jonathan Shopping, we are different in a Holocaust museum down. In fact Ha'erbin have in WW2, the Japanese set up a laboratory to real cruel things to try out the Chinese. The museum was generally well done (that is, by Chinese standards) and also very interesting - but only at very very propagandistic. After that we went by bus back to downtown. I'll tell you, the bus was completely covered with ice from the inside! How cold it is there!
evening we ate even the best Jiaoze (small dumplings) EVER. The restaurant has advised us this time the cleaning lady and we have to start carefully ordered ... and then really been reached * Swarm *

are Monday morning at 7am, we then by night train (this time the cheapest beds in the room for 8 50cm from the ceiling) arrived back in Beijing. And suddenly we have occurred to -10 ° C quite warm here - just a matter of perspective! Since we missed the hot shower for about 5 minutes (Rush Hour), they were presented then it's something that really American Breakfast * g * started before the seriousness of the Uni again (see examinations).

January + February (I do that now Months to make it faster and more interesting)

1st week I was with Dan. The week can be summarized as follows: very wicked cold, jet lag all anger, no desire for anything. We went to Erlangen (or something) up in a very nice indoor pool - it could not really enjoy, because I had a cold so super (sorry Love).

2nd week: by train through Nbg to Bawa. In Nbg I finally saw the jasmine and Astrid. That was really great. Just as I said ... super cold and little motivation ...

3rd week: doctor says I'm NEN bacterial infection and not cold. So antibiotics. How sweet! Had I known earlier I would not have suffered so much the last 3 weeks ... I went ... Whatever's in any case after a few days more and I could finally enjoy my vacation J

4th week: people visit and vampire ball in Heidelberg. The latter must be really mentioned again. Although I have no pictures, but here is the link. And yes, it really is so hammer as it looks here. That was AMAZING!

5.Woche: carnival, Lecture at the BA, WITH Submit Application. So nothing exciting.

6th week: Back to Beijing; this time with a very pleasant and exciting flight. It has almost felt as if you come back home * laughs *. When I pick up key then also met Patrick and Terry, who arrived the same day. Together, we are then recovered, have squashed the first Chinese lunch and dinner were gone. The rest of the week was spent arriving to take people to register, and relax.

And then we arrived in March ...

March

at 1.03. The semester went off again. It was really nice to see all back safe and sound back and relaxed. The faces were nothing compared with the end of last semester. Everyone was so happy and relaxed! But since we are here in China, no time is wasted. On Monday, There Were the books and already the first homework: Same procedure as last semester * laugh *

This semester we were able to choose elective courses. I had picked out eight, I wanted to show. 2 were then removed in the first round, unfortunately, lack of interest. So I sent applications to 3 and got 2 get. At first I was really disappointed because I have not been counted Financial Statement Analysis hab. The issue really is not my strong point so I wanted to take it ... in retrospect, but I glad I did not get it - was done so incredibly much ;-)

Overall, the March sooo not Dolle. The weather was super bad and super cold. The fans have really requires a lot of work (especially OM and finance) and then I added the MIT, where not even an interview. That was super disappointing (especially since it only on my GMAT was * grrr *). But where one door closes another to make and so I am registered for a semester exchange.

end of March, then mom and dad came to Beijing. The weather at the time was really not typical Beijing wants hot blue skies and hardly any smog. Unfortunately, it has been raining on the day but just as mom and dad went to the wall L
Together we explored the rest of the time Beijing Observatory, Old Town Wall, Lama Temple, Temple of Heaven, Antique Fair, Olympia, Beijing Duck, shopping ... Only the Forbidden City, I've still not seen * laugh *

Der APRIL kam dann mit großen Schritten…

… und mit ihm Henry Paulson, Former Treasury Secretary of the United States. The fact has kept us a lecture on "Leadership on the Brink". The auditorium was packed. Despite ticket we got no seats left. The talk was all that exciting but then not - typical politician containing ;-)

Sometime mid April, Darren, Ming Hwee and I drove to the bike again after the Olympics. I think it was one of those days where we had morning classes and then the afternoon was so tired that the choice of sleep-or-Out said. By bike it is not far from Tsinghua to Olympia - about 1 hour. On the way we have eaten a second lunch (Ming is from Singapore, who needs food every 2 hours * lol *). There we were walking in the park and we have the first flowers looked (it was still quite cold). Then we went to the Olympic Stadium, which was beautifully lit and have Poser pictures made. And then, after a great dinner at a quaint restaurant, gabs beer with their classmates (until 11.30pm because the shower so hot only to 12 * lol *).

(last picture of course turn - this is the future world of elite * laugh *)

The remaining month is then due to many papers and exams (Mid-Term) disappeared very quickly. It was still super cold, and stupidly, had now issued the heating, biting *. So, I learned a dual-Shirt + Hat ...

end of April, Terry and I finally finally went for the first time to massage. I'll tell you, this hurts like hell! I almost cried while I was kneading the woman's back! Time of pain and sometimes because I'm so ticklish. Overall, it was anything but a pleasure ... and then they have even scraped the back. This give the masseuse oil on the skin, mix and scrape it down with something as precious leveling the topmost layer of skin. This does appear to be good for the skin and also for health. I myself was able to lean on after a week of no more ... and my skin is getting worse rather than better now ... but hey ... always something new ;-)
On the same day we had great networking event with alumni (and future students). The was quite nice, but nothing outstanding (especially since so few alumni were there, that were literally besieged) * laughs *.

mid-April, chased an appointment the next one: homework, exams, extra lectures, group meetings, dinners and, last but not least, the selection of the Exchange University. Most of you have probably noticed that I have difficulty with the latter done properly ... That was because I was so high in the ranking * pat * I had a free choice. And since I'm Libra, I do not come with a choice deal ;-)
Sorry again to everyone that I'm nervous, and kept going. The final Decision is then dropped to Yale. And I'm so happy, that will go with me and 3 of my friends in New Haven (apart from the fact that Dan is going to study in nearby Boston * g *).

had in the last week of April, we released a few days, as we have in the week before, some subjects (unfortunately not the workload) is stored. And since the weather has finally decided to turn around on summer (25 ° C with pleasant sunshine and light winds - again beijing atypical), we have taken a bit free. That is, we were comfortable with every morning and have brunch in Wudakou day more relaxed and easy times done nothing. Was badly needed! At the same time I've hit me with Tiina (a classmate who is from Sweden, which has had a baby because they do not currently there) and have been told to make a tailored suit. Life can be so beautiful :-)

And so we are already in May , ie, in the now

In May ...

... I picked up my new suit * exciting *

... gabs again a G5 OrientationWeek Revival with Beijing Duck, billiards and karaoke * laugh *

... I have the new students to campus shown * disappointing *

I'm in ... pissed off with our Finance Teacher * grrr * been

... we have been working on our Project Consulting * boring *

... I've booked my flight back home * happy *

... I have a symposium on On "Sustainable Business" visit * interesting *

... we plan NEN exciting trip to the Expo * *

... I just write this blog entry * finally *

So much time for now. Next week we have the last 2 exams and 2 papers and then only the tray Consulting is left, which is something inspirationslos ...

And as I said, the beginning of June it will be after the EXPO Shanghai and a week later back home J

Yes dear ones, that's it for now from me again. In Word, there are over 6 pages I've written here * phew *. But now, since it at least back-to-date and know what drives the life here in Beijing Sun

The Final Word: I'm hot!

love all regards, V
